I chose to explore bringing the design language of the once popular Philco Radio brand as if they released a wifi router today. I did this by exploring initial forms and iterating on the shapes I liked until they fit with the early/late art deco Philco style with modern technology. I acquired unmilled hardwood then joined &amp; planed them to dimension. Next I glued up each shelf and side panel following the pattern. I put it all together and added doors with a metal screen. Exploration In the fall semester of 2023, 17 students in CCAD’s Exhibit Design course partnered with Roto, an interactive museum and exhibit experience design firm, to reimagine the future of play by rethinking one of the classic exhibit forms: the “pretend play vehicle.” So often in children’s museums, these exhibits are static trucks, ships, or airplanes to simply climb on.
